Nick Bailey - drums, vocals
Nick Bailey has been playing drums since Keith Small taught him math in
grade seven. That year Keith made it to the Hamilton Philharmonic
playing trumpet. Teachers have a funny way of affecting your life; bet
Mr. Small doesn't know the impact. From that four piece wedding band to
indie bands to smokey bar room cover bands, Nick has always been
looking for a home in the world of music. He finally found his
happy place in Firefly. Nick is one of those students of life, never
being able to be shown the way, always having to find his own roads. A
fan of the song as opposed to the musical gymnastics in the song,
theory and fancy wrist acrobatics were lost on Nick. The mood and the
moment dictate the rhythms and rolls from the drummer. Mood
comes from the passion of the moment. Nick uses lots of cymbals to wash
over the songs and always been a sucker for a country two step or a
train beat. Nick has played in Sulk, One Grunt For Daddy and numerous
other musical projects.
